The Lawn

Located in between Buildings A and B, The Lawn is a fantastic space to host outdoor events and performances. Learn more about renting The Lawn.'

Building B

Building B houses private artist studios, open by appointment and during select special events, such as Open Studios Day.

Building C

Building C houses private artist studios and is closed to the public.

Building D

Building D houses private artist studios. Open by appointment and during select special events, such as Open Studios Day..

Building E

The AGCC Print Studio is located in Building E. Open by appointment, for community classes, and during select special events, such as Open Studios Day.

Building F

Building G

Building G houses artist studios and the Rourke Classroom. Open by appointment, for community classes, and during select special events, such as Open Studios Day. The classroom is available to rent for meetings and workshops.

Building H

Building I

Accessible via tunnel, a studio space is located in Building I. Only open by appointment and during select special events, such as Open Studios Day.

Building J

Accessible through J road, overlooking the ocean and Korean Friendship Bell, Building J houses artist studios. Open by appointment and during select special events, such as Open Studios Day.

Battery & Murals

Battery Leary - Merriam, completed in 1919 for use as a single gun battery, serves as an event space and houses a mural, created by artists in the local Indigenous community, depicting the Tongva creation story and honoring Tongva elders. AGCC is also pleased to present Tongva: Still Here, a mural on our storage container created by our Teen Mural Club, unveiled on May 2, 2023. Open during select special events.

Sacred Native Space

AGCC is honored to steward native Tongva land in partnership with the local Indigenous community. This space is home to two inipi structures used for sweat ceremonies. Each October, AGCC hosts the Many Winters Gathering of Elders (MWGOE). Led by the local Indigenous community, the MWGOE is a four-day gathering where Native/Indigenous Elders and knowledge-keepers from across the country gather to share teachings through oral tradition with the community.

Marine Mammal Care Center

The Marine Mammal Care Center is the only 24/7/365 safe haven for marine animals in Los Angeles County. They are one of AGCC's partner organizations, and home to our monthly ArtLab workshop.

Hey Rookie Pool

Hey Rookie Pool is a year-round, City of Los Angeles Department of Recreation and Parks public pool. Get more information on the Hey Rookie page on the LA Parks website.

International Bird Rescue

International Bird Rescue is a worldwide leader in the care and rehabilitation of seabirds and other aquatic birds.

Marine Exchange

The Marine Exchange of Southern California is a ninety plus year old, non-profit organization dedicated to the development and efficient flow of maritime commerce throughout the region.

Fort MacArthur Museum

The Fort MacArthur Museum is dedicated to the preservation and interpretation of the history of Fort MacArthur, a U.S. Army post which guarded the Los Angeles harbor from 1914 to 1974.

Korean Friendship Bell

This massive and intricately-decorated bell and pavilion was donated in 1976 to the people of Los Angeles by the people of the Republic of Korea to celebrate the bicentennial of the U.S. independence, honor veterans of the Korean War, and to consolidate traditional friendship between the two countries.

Marine Exchange of Southern California

The Marine Exchange of Southern California is a ninety plus year old, non-profit organization dedicated to the development and efficient flow of maritime commerce throughout the region. Our records of ship arrivals and departures go back to 1923 in a string broken only by WW II. Since then, we have evolved into the Maritime Information Center for the Los Angeles - Long Beach Port Complex.
