Events Manager – Full-time Staff Position
We are seeking a dynamic and organized Events Coordinator to oversee all events and related activities on our campus. This role is responsible for managing a diverse range of events, including community classes, filming projects, facility rentals, and gallery events. They will also be responsible for managing the campus website and creating engaging digital content. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Schedule: Beginning ASAP; 40 hours/week; Tues-Sat 9am-5pm; weekly schedule determined in alignment with AGCC’s Executive Director/Staff and rental needs
Reports To: Associate Director
Salary: $28-$31/per hour, plus health benefits and 403b base and match
Angels Gate Cultural Center (AGCC) provides space for artists to work and engages community through arts education, exhibitions of contemporary art, and cultural events.
AGCC provides (1) services to professional artists, (2) innovative public arts programming, including exhibitions of local, national and international artists, and (3) high-quality arts education for children and adults in the Los Angeles Harbor Region.
Key Responsibilities
- Event Management: Plan, coordinate, and execute all campus events
- Oversee community classes, ensuring smooth operations and participant satisfaction
- Manage filming projects, coordinating with production teams
- Handle facility rentals, including contract management and client relations
- Website Management and Content Creation:
- Maintain the campus website, ensuring it is up-to-date and user-friendly
- Create engaging content for the website, including event descriptions, photos, and promotional materials
- Manage the content management system (CMS) for efficient updates and modifications
- Monitor website analytics and user engagement, making data-driven improvements
- Manage online event registration
- Administrative Duties:
- Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, and campus departments
- Ensure compliance with campus policies and safety regulations
- Prepare post-event reports and analyze event success metrics
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Event Management, Communications, or related field
• 3+ years of experience in event planning and coordination
• Proficiency in event management software and content management systems
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Must be comfortable with public speaking, directing crowds
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed Spanish-speaking highly desired, not required

Coalition Coordinator – Full-time Staff Position
The Coalition Coordinator supports the AUSP Coalition in implementing projects as outlined in the Coalition’s Next Five Years report. This will include; administrative support, helping with events and community outreach as needed, engaging in creative visioning with the Coalition and AGCC staff, and ensuring implementation of correct processes and practices. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
Schedule: Beginning ASAP; ~30 hours/ week; Tues-Fri 9am-5pm; weekly schedule determined in alignment with AGCC’ s Executive Director/Staff/Arts United San Pedro Coalition Partners
Reports To: Executive Director at AGCC
Salary: $25-$27/per hour, plus health benefits and 403b base and match
The San Pedro Arts and Cultural District (SPACD) received California state designation in 2017. The District features 90 diverse cultural assets, 48 galleries/artist studios, 35 supporting organizations, more than 100 individual artists and six performing arts venues. The Arts United San Pedro(AUSP) Coalition is comprised of seven organizational and 2 artist partners. Through funding recently awarded by the California Arts Council, the Coalition is expanding district resources through the following efforts: Wayfinding, Community Engagement Activities, Advocacy, Fund Development, and Outreach.
Angels Gate Cultural Center (AGCC) provides space for artists to work and engages the community through arts education, exhibitions of contemporary art, and cultural events. AGCC delivers (1) services to professional artists, (2) innovative public arts programming, including exhibitions of local, national and international artists, and (3) high-quality arts education for children and adults in the Los Angeles Harbor Region.
Primary Responsibilities
• Reporting to AGCC’s Executive Director, the Coalition Coordinator will liaise between local artists and organizations to implement goals of the AUSP Coalition.
• Build tools to manage and market the events of the Coalition.
• Draft, organize, and track contracts and reporting documents between local artists/organizations/ contractors and the AUSP Coalition.
• Help with production of large-scale events in the District.
• Advocate locally, regionally and statewide for arts.
• Collaborate with and assist Executive Director and AGCC staff as needed.
• Become a dedicated member of the AGCC team, working closely with all staff as needed.
• Serve at the request of the Executive Director, performing duties not listed here as needed.
Qualifications
• Passion for the Arts, desire to support an arts community in multi-faceted ways
• Demonstrate skills and expertise in office organization and management
• Minimum 6 years administration/office experience required
• Experience in marketing and promotion
• Exceptional project management skills
• Exceptional, professional communication skills
