Angels Gate Hi-Railers Model Railroading Club

Angels Gate Hi-Railers Model Railroading Club is a gathering place for model train enthusiasts. Members and visitors can admire and operate model trains, explore intricate miniature landscapes, and engage in the hobby of model railroading. Open to the public on Saturdays.

Angels Gate Park

Angels Gate Cultural Center is located in the upper reservation of Angels Gate Park. The park itself is known for its breathtaking views of the Pacific Ocean, and offers hiking trails and picnic areas.

Belmont Shore Model Railroad Club

A gathering place for model train enthusiasts. It is a dedicated facility where members and visitors can admire and operate model trains, explore intricate miniature landscapes, and engage in the hobby of model railroading.

Fort Macarthur Military Museum

Fort MacArthur Military Museum is a historical landmark located in San Pedro, California, dedicated to preserving and showcasing the military history of the United States, particularly focusing on the role and significance of the former Fort MacArthur in coastal defense.

Hey Rookie Pool

Hey Rookie Pool is a historic public swimming pool that was built in 1943 for military personnel during World War II. Today, it serves as a community pool offering swimming lessons and recreational activities for people of all ages.

International Bird Rescue

The International Bird Rescue is an organization committed to the rescue, rehabilitation, and release of injured and oiled birds, working towards the conservation and protection of avian species and their habitats.

    Korean Friendship Bell

    The Korean Bell of Friendship (more commonly called the Korean Friendship Bell) is a massive bronze bell housed in a stone pavilion in Angels Gate Park. This section of the park is alternatively called the “Korean–American Peace Park” and occupies part of the former Upper Reservation of Fort MacArthur. (Wikipedia)

    Ceremonial bell ringing usually occurs at noon on the first Saturday of the month (recommencing June 5, 2020), as well as holidays including American Independence Day, July 4th, and Korean Independence Day, March 1.

      Marine Exchange

      The Marine Exchange of Southern California is a ninety-plus year old, non-profit organization dedicated to the development and efficient flow of maritime commerce throughout the region. Their records of ship arrivals and departures go back to 1923 in a string broken only by WWII. They are now the Maritime Information Center for the Los Angeles – Long Beach Port Complex.
