Phyllis Evans Venable is the CEO of Silhouette Consulting Group, a San Pedro based consulting firm specializing in business development and non-profit capacity-building. A 30-year resident of San Pedro, she is a dedicated community volunteer, additionally serving on the executive boards of Tom Bradley Legacy Foundation at UCLA, Sister Cities of Long Beach, Inc., and Rolling Hills/Palos Verdes chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. Venable is a graduate (B.S./M.S Broadcast Journalism) of University of Kansas (KU), where she also attended law school. She qualifies as an Economic Development Finance Professional (EDFP), certified through the National Development Council. An avid doodler and art lover, Venable is a former booking agent for artist Synthia Saint James, designer of the first Kwanzaa stamp for the U. S. Postal Service.
