Stuart Hamilton: Earthly Meditations
In the Gallery through March 26th, 2022
Angels Gate Cultural Center celebrates the life of Stuart Hamilton, late AGCC Studio Artist, in Stuart Hamilton: Earthly Meditations. The exhibition includes works made during the artist’s 10-year history at the Center. Earthly details taken out of context – stones, sticks, and bone fragments – are arranged in geometric patterns reflecting a sense of order in a meditative process that carefully considers the natural world. This juxtaposition – of the simple, small, and oft disregarded – against the visual complexity of land formations in rhythmic topographic line, invites an alternative consideration and appreciation. All of the work in this exhibition is available for sale.
Learn more about Earthly Meditations.
Information on visiting the gallery can be found on our website at Angelsgateart.org.

Adobe Punk World Premiere
March 2022
Adobe Punk is an original theater work by About…Productions. In February 2020 Angels Gate Cultural Center hosted work-in-progress readings. The show now premieres March 19, 2022 at Plaza de la Raza in Los Angeles.
We have been offered a discount for tickets. Use the code: ANGEL5 (For $5 off General Admission. Does not apply to previews or opening night.) The show runs through April 2rd. For more information and for tickets go to the website here.
Adobe Punk
Punk music finds life in one of L.A.’s oldest adobe homes in this original theaterwork. Set in the early 1980s in working-class Bell Gardens, three young punk musicians from disparate cultures squat in a vacant house. As the trio builds its punk songbook, and a life-size zine, they define their artistic identity and find their place in the musical and historic landscape of L.A.
