along w/d boon, I was one of the founding members of the minutemen back in 1980. I lost him in 1985 along w/the group but I kept going w/bass and ended up doing it for a living, making recordings for sst and columbia records w/my own music plus doing sideman stuff on bass for people like porno for pyros, j mascis + the fog, the stooges and others… lately I’ve been helping out mike baggetta w/his mssv band besides my own trios, the secondmen and missingmen. I’m also in a european band called il sogno del marinaio w/two guys from italy, stefano pilia and paolo mongargdi. yes, lots of music – it’s for this reason my prac pad is so important to me (been here since 1987) and a HUGE reason I’m most grateful to the people here at angels gate cultural center for keeping things going smoov all these years and into the future.
