Charles Jensen (he/him) wrote Splice of Life: A Memoir in 13 Film Genres, the poetry collection Instructions between Takeoff and Landing, and two previous collections of poetry and seven chapbooks of cross-genre work. The City of Los Angeles Department of Cultural Affairs awarded him a 2024-25 Individual Master Artist Fellowship. His writing has appeared in the Los Angeles Times, American Poetry Review, New England Review, Prairie Schooner, Exposition Review, and Passages North. He directs the UCLA Extension Writers’ Program.
