Angels Gate Cultural Center provides space for artists to work and engages community through arts education, exhibitions of contemporary art, and cultural events.

Studio Artist Ann Weber joins artist Jason Keam for a two person show, Interwoven: Ann Weber & Jason Keam at Fullerton College Art Gallery.
The opening reception is Thursday, October 27th, 4-6pm with an Artist Talk scheduled for November 2nd at 10am. The exhibition runs though November 28th.

One of Studio Artist Lynn Doran images has been chosen to be included in the finals of Wilderness Safaris’ Africa in Focus photo competition. Images taken anywhere on the African continent were eligible for the competition.

Co-curated by Gloria Gem Sanchez and Jynx Prado, this group exhibition pays homage to the de facto art school and artist-run space, Slanguage Studio, started in 2002 by artists Mario Ybarra Jr. and Karla Diaz in Wilmington, California.
We Run Things, Things Don’t Run We includes art by 20 Slanguage Alumni: Yadira Agredano, Ben Avila, Raul Baltazar, Karla Diaz, Sarita Dougherty, Gaby, Alonso Garzon, Ed Gomez, EJ Hill, Raghubir Kintisch, Antonio De Jesus Lopez, Amitis Motevalli, Aydinaneth Ortiz, Perl, Jynx Prado, Felix F. Quintana, Guadalupe Rosales, Marlene Tafoya, Arnoldo Vargas, and Mario Ybarra Jr. A visual overview of Slanguage pedagogy, each artist shares their unique approach to creating through intent, content, context, production, distribution, and documentation. Drawing, painting, sculpture, fiber art, photography, and installation merge to exemplify the critically conscious, fantastical, and community-centered essence of Slanguage Studio.

This culminating exhibition recognizes the community engagement work of Artist Taylor Griffith in partnership with AltaSea at the Port of Los Angeles, and Poet Nancy Lynée Woo in partnership with Strength Based Community Change.
During their 2022 residency, Griffith and Woo led community programming while focusing on their professional creative practices, sponsored by the Artists At Work program in LA County.
