Part Two! a shadow out of the noise is the second performance in a three-part opera by Los Angeles based artist duo Beck+Col. Choreography is composed by collaborators Kayla Aguila and Tetiana Sklyarova. Original music by Beck+Col combines opera and heavy metal, with traditional operatic voice, extended techniques and screaming. In homage to Italian Giallo Horror, lighting and music become a character to enhance the atmosphere and signify the characters’ shift into madness. In Part One! a shadow out of the dark, a single being is split into two mirrored images by a dark outside force. Their world shattered, they now divided individuals desperately trying to reunite. Their futile efforts send them on a chaotic path into the underworld in Part Two! a shadow out of the noise.
