FA4 Collective present GANAS DE EXISTIR!, a multimedia exhibition featuring artworks that explore themes of identity, erasure and visibility. The aim is to facilitate a culturally diverse and inclusive space for discussion, collaboration, and establishment of a platform to share valuable stories and experiences of marginalized voices in response to a time in American Society where xenophobia and prejudice are more enabled, transparent, and in many cases, violent and deadly.

GANAS DE EXISTIR! opens April 13th from 12-4pm in conjunction with Angels Gate Cultural Center Open Studios Day. The opening will offer live music, spoken word, and performance works by Jessa Calderon, Brianna Mims, Jasmine Nyende, Gloria Plaza, and DJ Fuyu. A second reception on May 18,6-9pm will feature performances by FA4 Collective members Cindy Vallejo and Marlene Tafoya, a fire performance offering by Primal Element and a full moon ceremonia facilitated by Muxeres Unidas. An Artist Panel featuring participants of the show to discuss and explore the creative process and the meaning of the works created will be held on June 15, 2-4pm. The closing reception will be held June 22, 2-4pm.

Curated by FA4 Collective member Gloria Sanchez, the show will feature 21 emerging artists and performers from across the Los Angeles region, from FA4 Collective members, Common Threads makers via Justice LA and art community members.
