Angels Gate Cultural Center presents A Stone’s Throw from Water: Explorations from Angels Gate Cultural Center’s Community Classes, an exhibition of visual art and performances by participants of its educational community. The show reflects a breadth of exploration from children’s drawing, painting, and ceramics to personal selections by seasoned faculty working in various media.  A Stone’s Throw refers to the site’s close proximity to the sea and the spontaneous momentum of creativity that occurs on the Angels Gate Cultural Center campus.

Angels Gate Cultural Center community classes welcome all those who have interest in creative expression to share and learn from one another. Its many weekly offerings include but are not limited to: life drawing, printmaking, ceramics (hand-building, pottery, raku), yoga and dance. The teachers at Angels Gate Cultural Center design their curriculum around personal expertise, fostering an environment that values the cultures and experience of its individuals.

The exhibition will run from August 4 through September 15 with live performances showcasing Angels Gate courses in guitar, ukulele, Kyudo: Japanese Archery, Folklorico dance, belly-dancing, and hula. Performances schedules will be posted on our website.
