Mrs. Ethel

A daughter of immigrant parents, Ethel spent a majority of her youth in an underserved community. She was fortunate enough to be placed into a program that gave youth a platform to express themselves creatively through arts and crafts, theater, photo and film and even being in nature. This influenced her interest in art. She studied fine art in high school and received her BA in multimedia arts from LMU.

I am the Gemini in AQMNI! I speak two languages, am the first in my family to go to college and also the first in my family to be a professional artist.

After being diagnosed with Narcolepsy, she found an outlet for expressing her emotions through conceptual portraiture. During the pandemic she decided to bring the opportunity of expression and healing through the arts to underserved youth and communities.
