This class is designed for the beginner to learn the basics of welding steel safely and efficiently. Students will gain a mastery of safety gear, essential tools, and workplace set-up. The class environment is an active welding shop, and we will learn by doing and observing. Students will have the opportunity to design a small metal project and make progress on it during the course. Additional tutoring and post class follow up is available.
Class size is limited to 8 students to ensure close and frequent interaction with the instructor and the tools.
Tools covered include 110v MIG Welder, 220v MIG Welder, 220v Stick Arc Welder, 14” cut off saw, 5” grinder.
Class fee: $280 which includes use of tools, consumables, and printed handouts.
Students must bring their own safety gear, according to a list provided once they enroll in class. The safety gear will cost $40-$80.
