MAYDAY! – Tales of Love and other Emergencies

Saturday, April 30th at 8:00 pm at Angels Gate Cultural Center

Celebrate the lusty month of May with delicious love stories read aloud, outside, under the stars.

The 1st annual MAYDAY! will celebrate love on Saturday, April 30 at 8 pm. Snuggle up under the night sky at Angels Gate Cultural Center for spellbinding storytelling suitable for all lovers and lovers of literature. MAYDAY! will showcase tales by O. Henry, Alice Walker, Bret Harte, Dorothy Parker and Irwin Shaw, among others, brought to life in readings by Sam Lloyd and Melanie Jones, enhanced by sound effects and your own imagination.


MAYDAY! is produced and directed by Melanie Jones, who has been bringing you SCARY STORIES for 13 years. Picnics welcome. Free folding chairs are available on site.

Recommended for adults and young adults.

Location: Angels Gate Cultural Center-3601 South Gaffey Street in San Pedro. Enter from Gaffey Street at 32nd Street. MAYDAY! will be presented in the amphitheater – the old gun emplacement.
Tickets: $15/couples; $10/individual. Cash only, please. No reservations required.
Bring your own seating and dress for the outdoors.
