Arts + Exploration Field Trips

In Angels Gate Education news, the Center continues its year-round programs
for kids in the Harbor area and beyond. Artist-Teachers Matthew Thomas and
Betty Ziff led 60 students from LAUSD's Amestoy Elementary in our popular
Art + Exploration Field Trip program. Students observed artwork in the
gallery and created a huge sand mandala.
The Art + Exploration Field Trip took place on July 17, 2008 with the
United Friends of the Children, which has provided support services to
foster youth since 1979. Students from United Friends of the Children
toured the exhibit, "New in Town?" with Matthew Thomas.

to thousands of kids in local schools. Many of these children would
