Dear Angels Gate Cultural Center fans, family and friends -

I want to take a moment and wish you Happy Holidays and to introduce myself to you.

As you may know, leadership has changed at Angels Gate Cultural Center. In addition to our new Executive Director, Deborah Lewis, my name is Oscar Garcia and I am the new Director of Development. I have had the opportunity to complete my first 100 days, and during that time I ensured that existing grants were managed and in compliance, and new grants were applied for such as the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act grant, which we were awarded!

However, we still need your help.

Your contribution will make an enormous difference to the children and adults that are served through the arts at Angels Gate Cultural Center, as well as the surrounding community. We hope that you will participate as a donor of Angels Gate Cultural Center.

Here are the programs that you will be a part of at Angels Gate Cultural Center:

• Artists in Classrooms places professional artists in classrooms throughout the L.A. harbor area for weekly art instruction. This 12-week program allows underserved students to learn how to view art and to create artwork themselves.
• Community Classes are offered daily so community members can experience the arts for themselves.
• The Gallery exhibits artwork from the established and emerging studio artists here at Angels Gate Cultural Center as well as artists from the region, the country and the world.
• Studio Artists Program serves as an incubator for established and emerging artists alike.

In order to keep these outstanding programs of the Angels Gate Cultural Center active and vital, your support is needed. Your donation will make a difference to artists, children, and adults, throughout San Pedro, Palos Verdes, Long Beach, and the rest of the South Bay. Together, we can help keep the arts alive!
